This is a new oven. On power up/" PF" on screen, clock sets, and light turns on on command, as soon as control knob is turned to a cooking Function the word “End” appears with an audible relay/switch click. Turning control knob back to light or off setting functions correctly. Pressing “Ok” button when ‘End’ is on screen yields a “- - -F”, which is not listed on error code list. Power seems to be correct, 120VAC per leg to common/ground as shown in three wire installation diagram.
If you turned the control knob to the oven light position and then depressed the OK button for a few seconds - you probably got into the Fahrenheit and Celsius change options (page 5 of the Owners manual).

Gene, Thanks, I agree, I probably did get back to that mode, but my query is that the default temp should appear after turning to a cooking mode, bake/broil/convection. Instead of that I get the word ‘END’ and no heating. The rotary info works, since I can set the clock. I did intentionally get to the Celsius/Fahrenheit mode. the keep warm function lights the correct arrow, the cleaning mode points to the right arrow but there is no modal activity and then the “End” changes to PF and we start again.
Could be a problem with the control. I would call Whirlpool for the warranty service as long as it is less than a year old.
