Ice sticks in icemaker

Ice maker works, but a cube keeps sticking in the very back, and it stops making ice until I bust it out. Also, there seems to be some water leakage into the trough where the ice falls, making cubes stick together. Can anyone help??

Sounds like the problem is a bad ice maker. GE has redesigned the ice maker and it looks different, but this is direct replacement part for all GE refrigerators.

Ya think?? I’ve already found that replacement, but, I was hoping to get a better response on how to fix the existing one.

Fixing the old ice maker can cost you much more $$$ because of expensive parts. Half of parts are no longer available. Rate of success on ice makers repair is very low and such repairs are not reliable. New ice maker comes with one year part warranty (if you buy it from Appliance Parts Pros) and this is the best solution.
