Ice maker that won't barely make ice!

my ice maker is making ice BUT Barely. the ice looks fine but the sheets are small and I only get a few cubes at a time. the machine will no longer fill up to the top. My husband added coolant (freon) but still this did not help

any suggestions?

I have purchased and changed out the thermistor. the ice that is being made seems to be “larger” or “thicker” than before which is a good thing BUT the machine still doesn’t make enough to fill the bucket.
just a handful of ice is made daily

any suggestions as to what I should try next?
