Ice maker sometimes won't make ice

So my 17+ year Frigidaire refrigerator will just stop making ice for some reason.
Usually I’ll have to pull the bucket out, thereby reingaging the bar, and then put back in. I’ll select ‘extra ice’ and then it’ll be fine for a while.
I had to replace the icemaker about 5-8 years ago.
Any idea what’s going on?

When the ice maker stops making ice, are you pressing the sensor arm down to engage it? Also, does this get the ice maker to work every time that you reengage the arm? If so, and there is no obstruction causing the arm to hang up, then replacing the ice maker would be the corrective action. 5303918344 Icemaker Assembly | Genuine Frigidaire OEM In Stock

I’ve never pressed the sensor arm down. I usually just pull the bucket out and then put it back in.

If there is not ice or any other object under the arm when you do this, pulling the bin out is likely causing the arm to raise up enough that when it drops down, it forces the sensing switch to close. This would be a failure in the ice maker.
