Ice maker replaced not working

Main Symptom: only making one tray per day.
What happens & when: previous ice maker was not making ice. replaced with new unit from Appliance Parts Pro. New maker only making one tray per day. removed unit and reinstalled to make sure installation was correct. didn’t make first tray for 72 hrs, since then has only made 3 trays in 3 days. temperature of refrigerator and freezer are in correct zone. water line is fine. temp of dispensed water is fine. I’m wondering if the new unit is also defective?

Sounds more like slow fill or temp issue. if it’s not cold enough at the icemaker it’ll barely cycle.And check water pressure and fill line for partial blockage.

Is the temperature being identified using a thermometer or by what is displayed? If the temperature is being identified using the display, it would need to be verified with a thermometer. An LG ice maker will not harvest properly unless the temperature is less than 2 degrees. It will still produce ice with temperatures up to 9 degrees, but it will do so slowly.
