I have reset the icemaker still not working my question is the arm suppose to be in the up or down position? mine was in the up so I took it apart and put the arm in the down position, put it back together then reset it and then I checked it the next day and the arm is back in the up position what I have read is when in the up position it shuts off the ice maker and have also heard that it is in the up position til it drops ice it goes down to detect if the bin is full or not. confused any help?
Have had some issues lately with the ice maker compartment not being cold enough to make ice. Verify the temperature in the ice maker compartment. As for the arm, it does indeed lift and then come back down during the harvest cycle. It should be down in the park mode though. If the temp is ok and all wiring is connected properly, check the flex tray itself and see if it is cracked or broken. If that all checks out ok, replace the ice maker.

Had thermometer in ice compartment for about 5 minutes and its showing 41 degrees and i know thats not cold enough. What could be the problem?
If you have a spare frig, empty this one, unplug it, leave all the doors open and let it thaw out for 24 hours. If you can’t do that, you will need to find the air return ducts from the ice maker compartment and the supply ducts to it. Use a hair dryer and blow warm air thru all of them until you are getting good air flow in both directions. I’ve never had to actually do it, so I’m not positive where they are precisely, but it seems to be a common problem lately when only affecting the ice maker.
