Brand:KitchenAid
Model Number:KRSF705HPS04
Main Symptom:ICE MAKER NOT WORKING
What happens & when:

I originally was having an issue with the ice maker creating a block of ice because it was overfilling with water. I had Sears repair come out. The said that the water valve needed to be replaced and when they replace the valve the replace the icemaker 1200$

I purchased both the single and double water valves as that was not specified which one needed to be replaced. Purchased from Appliance parts pros. Followed your videos and replaced both valves. Result: same problem

I ran all of the service codes specifically #44- Sankyo icemaker harvest test and #45-Sankyo icemaker water fill test and both of these steps worked.

I decided to just buy a new icemaker from Appliance parts pros. Installed the new icemaker. To my surprise the next day I had about 3 trays of ice in the ice bucket.

My concern now is that the icemaker does not seem to be producing much ice. How often should the icemaker fill and drop ice?

I did notice when I went to replace the icemaker a tan wire was split in the wire harness that plugs into the right side of the icemaker.

Should the wire be split? If not, I do not see a wire harness available for purchase. If I cannot replace the harness can I purchase a connector at the hardware store to fix the split?

Thank you

If there is a wire that is damaged, if it is part of the harness in the door then it can only be gotten with the door. If there is enough wire you could splice it together. As for how often the icemaker will produce, it would be approximately every 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
