Main Symptom: ice maker not working
What happens & when:
Error Code (if any): received order water filter code on fridge and soon after ice maker stopped working. Replaced water filter, flushed 2 gallons of water and ice maker still not working.
Parts or tests already tried: pulled ice maker unit out to check and noticed ice looks like picture attached, costing on ice tray also seems to be flaking away.

Hello, it looks like you are not getting enough water to the icemaker, Duh! right. take the water filter out and see if that makes a difference. Either the filter is bad, the by-pass in the filter is not letting water through or your water supply is weak. If the water coming through the front door dispenser is strong, that would indicate a water valve problem because all water for the icemaker and the front dispenser goes through the filter.
Removing the water filter resulted in no ice created at all, whereas previously, resetting the ice maker would cycle it once but then stop.
