Ice maker not release cubes with new ice maker

Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: WRS321SDHB05
Main Symptom: Ice maker will fill with water, freeze, and then tilt. Will not release ice and the bin full bat is in the up position.
What happens & when:The original ice maker was doing same thing. Just replaced last week. Same issue. When I installed new ice maker, the bin arm was in upright position. Perform reset and the arm did not move. the ice bin did tilt both ways and center itself.

Error Code (if any):N/A
Parts or tests already tried: Reset switch

Check and ensure you have proper temperature at the ice maker. Your temp at the ice maker should be below 8°f for the ice maker to cycle. If the temperature is not below the needed 8°f the issue is a cooling or defrost issue instead of an Ice maker issue.

The freezer temperature is below 0. The ice is frozen in tray, but does not drop out. The arm that tells ice maker is full is also in the up position; it never moves during the reset of ice maker.

Use the attached flow chart for ice maker test…It sounds as if the bail arm is stuck/jammed. If it does not move during test…ensure it is not jammed or blocked…If it does not operate during the test, the ice maker will likely need to be replaced.
