Brand: Whirlpool Model Number: ED5FHEXVB01 Main Symptom: Not making Ice What happens & when: It seems that there is no water draw allowing water into the ice maker. I researched and there is a water inlet valve, I am getting water into the water dispenser but no draw to the ice maker. I also found the ice maker cycling thermostat that can cause the ice maker not to cycle along with the filter. All these can cause an ice making issue. Based on above can anyone suggest the first part needing replaced, I plan on replacing the filter but would any recommend if the cycling thermostat would be the next logical choice to replace or the inlet valve, can that go bad not to dispense water to the ice maker and still dispense water to the water dispenser. Any help would be appreciated

Refrigerator does not draw water, power is sent to the fill valve(s) and the house water pressure pushes the water in.
Is the freezer cold enough? Normally is 0ºF and must get below 15ºF for the ice maker to cycle on. Is there power to the ice maker? What happens if you manually fill the ice maker with some water? Is the ice maker fill spout frozen over? If the ice maker is getting power, temp is ok, fill spout is not frozen up…then yes trying a new ice maker might be the best next step.
Thank you… I have filled the ice maker to see if it produces ice. I will check the water feed tube to see if it is frozen and look at the other options. Thank you so much for you help!
