My Amana Refrigerator which is about 8 years old and is now acting up. The ice maker is malfunctioning (stopped working) and the freezer is not cooling properly. The frig side and the water on the door, work fine. I have vaccummed the front and back areas (including the fan). What else should I do ?
Any suggestions are appreciated…

The ice maker will never work properly if the temperature in the freezer is more than 15°F.
Remove the rear panel in the freezer and check how the evaporator coils are covered with snow.Check if the fan in the freezer works properly. Post the results.

An odd event occurred today, the ICE maker cycled and made a set of ice cubes. I dismantled the rear freezer panel and found the top two layers of the coil had ice on them. Not sure what to do next ?
im not sure what the temperature is but it is set at the coldest maximum temp and is working properly for the frozen foods that are in the freeezer
my ice tray that catches ice is full of frozen water and frozen ice is dripping out of the trays
Turn the ice maker off to stop the water leak and measure the temperature in the freezer.

yes i did but i think i figured it out the ice maker kept dripping which was not letting the ice maker perform like it was supposed to so i have now ordered a water valve from you. We will see if that works and if it doesnt i will call you back
