Ice Maker Augur motor or switch

Main Symptom: Ice will not dispense from door ice maker
What happens & when: External ice dispenser panel depresses, light comes on. No sound, no action. I know I’m most likely going to have to replace the ice dispenser augur motor. My question is, is there an internal switch that triggers the ice dispenser augur that might be bad that could be the problem? Or is the fact that the light comes on telling me that the switch is working, but it’s not able to trigger the augur motor because it’s dead?

The only way to know for sure is to test the motor to see if there is voltage going to it when you press the paddle. If there is, the motor is bad, if not, there is an issue with wiring going to the motor or the switch in the dispenser.

Can you share the part number for that switch with me? I’d rather try the smaller part that’s cheaper rather than purchase the augur motor out of the gate.
