I have an immense amount of ice build up in my freezer & its FROST FREE. THe icemaker is working fine, although I also have water dripping into the refrigerator compartment. Now the refrigerator is too warm - I’ve adjusted the temperature controls, checked the water line and rearranged the food to prevent blockage of air vents. HELP!

It sounds like the defrost coil isn’t working. I just replaced the one in mine and it is working like new. No frost in the freezer, no drips in the refrigerator, and cold! Oh, look at the condition of your ice cubes. They might look a little clear and not full-sized. That will be corrected also.

Does sound like a defrost problem.
But first check that the fan is running in the freezer section.

Then remove the panel at the back of the freezer so you can see the evaporator coils. If they are heavily iced up this confirms a defrost problem.
Access the defrost timer, it is in the fridge section (Item 4 in the “Liner” section.
The cam can be rotated with a screw driver or a dime. Note it only rotates in one direction,
Rotate it till the freezer fan goes off, you are now in defrost mode,
Does the defrost heater (Item 4 in the “Unit” section) get hot. Be careful to not burn your fingers, it gets really hot.
If it does get hot then you need a new timer.

If it does not get hot then your problem is either the defrost thermostat, the defrost heater or the contacts in the timer.
Best way to check is with a multimeter. Remember to unplug the machine when using ohms also unplug one side of any device you are checking.
Defrost element approximately 30 to 40 ohms
Defrost thermostat 0 ohms when frozen, open (infinite ohms) at room temperature.
If both the above OK then it is probably the timer contacts

Also check that your drain is clear, if plugged this could be the cause of the water in the fridge section.
