Ice Auger in Samsung Ice Bucket Has Decided to Unscrew Itself

The horrible icemaker in my Samsung french door refrigerator has decided to try a new trick. The nut on the end of the ice auger that holds the crushed ice chopping blades came loose. I found a couple of washers in my glass when I went to get ice, found more parts in the bottom of the icemaker compartment. I don’t know if this is everything or not… the nut holding it all together seems to have disappeared… I can’t find it anywhere.

I have searched all over the place for a parts diagram but it seems that everyone sells the complete ice bucket. My ice bucket is in otherwise good shape so I’d like to put this back together… but I need information on the order of washers and blades plus any other useful info.

Pictures show what I have.

Thank you.

It looks like the only way to get the part is to get the entire bucket. You might try a local hardware store.

yes it is VERY possible that only the bin/bucket is sold as a one piece part :frowning:

Same icemaker for all those models. And yes, seems to only be sold as a unit for $180 and up. Can’t even find a picture of how the auger is put together. I’m tempted to leave all the crush blades out since they don’t work very well anyway.

It is the bucket or bin.
Might as well just use it for cube storage only at that price.
