Hi
We have a Maytag MFI2269VEM3 bottom mount freezer and have noticed recently ice forming at the bottom. It has started to melt a little and occassionally we find puddles of water on the floor. Any ideas what might be causing this? and how to fix?

If the freezer and fridg section temperatures are normal, remove the freezer back panel and check for a frozen drain.
Thanks, would that be the back panel from the outside if the fridge at the back? I’ve been reading some of the posts on the same problem and for other models it’s from the inside…We just haven’t been able to figure out how to get the baskets out of the freezer - and there is nothing in the manual on how to do this.
Thanks.
Removal of the freezer door should be covered in the owners manual. I think there are two fillips head screws to take out, either that or it just lifts out.
