We have a GE monogram ZFSB23DND SS model. It is making a humming noise when both refrigerator and freezer doors are shut but stops when either door is open.
We had a repair person out to fix a Kitchenaid trash compactor (a whole other story) and while he was not authorized to work on a GE brand appliance he suggested it was the freezer evaporator motor & that it is pretty easy to replace.
Does this sound right?
I called GE and they said the part # is WR60X10099. I can;t find this party # on your site.

Balthus,
The manufacturing part number you supplied WR60X10099 cross referencess to AppliancePartPros.com part number
You need to do more checks on this fridg.
First measure the freezer and fridg section temperatures, then turn both controls to a lower temperature. Wait a while, then turn them back. It the humming sound changes it’s pitch, you have a motherboard AP3957581 causing the problem.
