My refrigerator is making a humming noise then a click overand over again and the compressor will not start. Needless to say the fridgedoes not cool nor does the freezer freeze. I got a replacement relay andcapacitor, and the problem persists. The relay is hot to the touch and as itcools it will click. I did a continuity test and the three pins on thecompressor have continuity with each other. I also checked the pins forcontinuity to the compressor case and it gave me an OL for each pin, so it’snot shorting out. I took an ohms reading for each pin and these are the ohmsvalues. Going clockwise we will call the top pin (#1) as the pins are not labeled.
#1 to #2 = 3
#1 to #3 = 5
#2 to #3 = 8
I am assuming that the compressor has gone bad since therelay and capacitor are new but then again this is only a guess. Please help ifable as I am at the limit of my knowledge as I do not have a schematic.

Your compressor winding resistances look good and since the start parts are new I have to agree with you that the compressor is toast.
