Have you tried power cycling it by unplugging the washer or turning it off at the breaker for a couple of minutes?
And does it shut off completely or illuminate the Done light after that 20 seconds? Does anything like the drain pump, the motor, or the lid lock seem to run during that 20 seconds?
unplugged, even overnight ! still no reset, when first start button pushed 4 light lites across board. does a sensing action just for 3 or 4 sec. stops..then sounds like goes in to a drain cycle for a 3 or 4 sec.shut off,no lid lock, powers off
Ok, try running the Clean Washer cycle for me and let me know if it does the same thing.
And just confirming, when you say sensing action, is it running the drive motor and moving the tub when it does that?
yes drive motor tub move then shuts off
Ok, if the motor is moving the tub about a 1/4 turn and the same thing happens in Clean Washer cycle, you are probably looking at an issue with the lower harness W11643701 and/or the shift actuator W11481722. What happens is the control board can’t see the tub moving because of the lower harness or the tachometer built into the shift actuator, so it senses and then shuts down.
It is usually recommended to replace both of those together when this happens.
If the tub is just barely moving it might be the capacitor W11395618, so double check if the tub is moving pretty strongly about 1/4 turn when it senses.
thank you for your time and suggestion, will look into that , so its not the encoder board /
Nah, it is almost never the control board for this issue.
This machine has been repair 7 times in less than 3 years ,seems to be same problem, they change out top control units/boards ,good to go for a few months back again..just saying!
