How do I remove old and install new gasket on front loading washing machine? It is the one just behind the closed front door that keeps water from leaking out the front?
Thanks for your help.
David

Thank you sidfink,
I am looking at the manual and see the page (29) with a picture showing removing the gasket. Not sure but do I have to disassemble the top and console just to get to this gasket? Thanks. I need a bit more of your advice/help.

Yes. Go to the next page and it will take you through the steps.
One thing you will find is that this procedure is nowhere near as easy as it looks or as they describe it. I have no idea how they get these things on at the factory. Anyway, grab a helper, take your time and you should be able to get it done.
An equal supply of patience and cursing is usually needed. Let us know how it goes, yours is a fairly rare model and I think all of us will be interested to know how easy or difficult the task is for you.
Thank you for your effort. Although I generally think I am resourceful, I did not manage to proceed on my own. the instructions weren’t clear re: repairing my washing machine in that I thought I would have to remove the top, control panel and entire front - essentially dismantling the unit. Called someone who did it with some difficulty but did not do all that.
Thanks again. Sorry for my late reply.
David
Well, sorry you could not do it yourself, but glad you got it fixed and thanks for the update. Good luck going forward.
