How to replace drain pump on ge dishwasher

Dish washer doesn’t drain cleaned out drain. got it working for short time but pump was making noise at end of drain. Believe drain pump is gone. Need directions on how to remove and replace drain pump. And anything else that can help.

Al,

You may want to check the valve flapper (#328 on the diagram) together with the drain pump. The dishwasher has to be removed from the cabinet because the drain pump and the flapper are located under the dishwasher on the left side and are not accessible form the front.

Accurately put the dishwasher on its right side for the full access. There is still some amount of water inside, so do cover the floor.
