How to remove ice maker

Brand: LG
Model Number: LRSES2706V /00
Main Symptom: Ice maker full of ice but not dumping
What happens & when: started last week I have reset it multiple times and have checked the water line

Error Code (if any):
Parts or tests already tried: part number suggested is AelEQ72909608 I guess because I ordered 606 and it is different. Is there a video on how I can remove it or directions so I can remove it to find the correct part number.

Hi,

This might help and be close enough to your ice maker…

Thank you. It may be similar and will give it a try. Although I don’t think the technician who replaced It two years ago didn’t remove the door to the refrigerator. This is what mine looks like it is in the freezer

With the power cord unplugged and the ice bin removed, there should be two 1/4” hex head or two Phillips head screws at the front corners of the ice maker when looking up at the bottom. Once those screws are removed, the ice maker should slide forward then drop down. The wires can then be disconnected and the ice maker changed out. However, what is the temperature of the freezer when monitored with a thermometer left between vegetable bags overnight? If the temperature does not get close to or colder than 1 degree Fahrenheit, the ice maker will not cycle properly.

Thank you. I figured it out. There was a faceplate covering the screws and think previous tech stripped one which is why I never found it. I ended up getting the right one and fixed it. Thank you.

Glad you got to the issue!

Thankx for the update!
