How to hook up electric dryer

I just received a used dryer from a friend, it’s an electric frigidare but the electric prongs are too big for my electric outlets.

I think I need some kind of adapter? I also have to check the volts in my apt with the super.

Please help.

A model number may help others help you.

If you only have standard 120 volt 15 amp circuits in your place then odds are that you cannot use the dryer.

Most electrical dryers are 240 volts 30 amps.
