Where is the pump trap/coin trap located on this wash machine and how do I go about cleaning it. I have noticed at times the water doesn’t drain completely leaving a nasty smell. I would like to clean this first since it has never been cleaned.

Remove the kick panel (two screws at the bottom of it) and locate the drain pump in the center.Unscrew the filter (#14 on the diagram) and pull it out for cleaning. Be prepared for approx. 1 gal. of water coming out of the pump. Best if you can use the wet shop vacuum.
