Checking various washing machine components for continuity allows you to identify a failed component. For example, you can test your washing machine water fill valve solenoids, lid switch, and other washer parts.
The following article on our forum will explain in detail how to run a continuity test using either an analog meter or a digital meter - How To Check Continuity With Ohmmeter
i want to check the ohms on the door losk switch but just need the lowdown i have worked on furnace’s so i have a little knowedge with a digital meter. any help will be great for this exact part???
I have a WTW57Esvwo. My tub will not fill. It does have a spin cycle. I have put in a new Timer and new temp switch. My water valve switches work. I by-passed the system and checked them. There is no obstruction in the water lines.
You probably have a faulty water level sensor, that relays to the fill valve to shut. Some older models have diaphragm with a plastic hose attached check the hose and connection first. Best of luck.
