Someone left the freezer door open just a little. The light switch froze. Once thawed it flops with no snap to it and doesn’t turn on the light. The light bulb is good. How do I change/check the switch? Is there a diagram somewhere to look at?

The first thing I would do is carefully try to defrost the light switch, using a hair dryer.

Thanks for the quick reply Gene. The switch is no longer frozen so I need to remove it. I’ve thought of simply trying to pry it out with a screw driver but I don’t want to break any plastic. Any other thoughts?
The only way to remove the light switch is to carefully slide a small flat-blade screwdriver under the switch and push the locking tab, then pull out the switch. Order the new switch fist and you will see where the locking tab is.
