Can you bypass the thermal cutoff to check and see if the dryer heats up?
You can but it is dangerous to do so. The most likely suspect if it runs but has no heat is the smaller thermostat mounted atop the heat chamber as seen in this photo [ATTACH]4221[/ATTACH]
number 1 is the usual supect and it blows when the vent hose and vent itself is clogged or partially clogged. Number 5 is the fuse and if it was blown the dryer would not run.
