Ok, should not be too difficult, but make sure you replace everything in the same place, particularly all of the springs you will take off. I assume you have the access panel off and are looking at the motor etc.
Push in on the idler to reduce tension on the belt and work the belt off. Make sure you know which slot the idler spring was in.
Take off the front vertical and horizontal springs, make sure to mark or note which springs came from where. You will want to put them back in the same places.
There is a little ācā clip that holds the idler pulley on a shaft. It will be hard to remove but it will pop off. It may pop so far off that you lose it, so be prepared.
At this point the idler assembly will drop down from the shaft, and you can replace it, reverse the process and you should be all set.

Finding and removing the c clip was the problem. Took quite a while but the washer runs fine now
