How do I replace microwave door handle?

I have a Whirlpool microwave model #MH1150XMS-4. I am trying to replace the door handle. I have watched every video I can find and none of them have a door interior like mine. I have taken the 3 screws on the end of the door out which doesn’t seem to do anything, I have reefed on the interior lining with the putty knife and it will not come free. Now, I’m trying to take the door off and take it to an appliance repair shop. I can’t even get the door off. Do I need a bigger hammer??? Any help out there?

Number 2 is the inner frame, or choke. It is held in place by many plastic clips around its edges. You will need to get a small screwdriver in behind it to pry it away from the outer frame. Once it has been removed, you will be able to separate the outer frame and glass to access the handle screws. Be very careful around the corners of that choke, they tend to break easily. Be sure to pry about every 1-2" so you release the tabs as you go.

If you are talking about a plastic clip behind the collar I am trying to remove, I have already broken one of those. Something is holding it no matter how I pry or pull. Would it be easier to get the door off and just take it to a repair guy? And if so, how do I get the door off?

The door may be removed by taking the grille from the top off and accessing the hinge screws behind it. Once removed, the door will lift up and pull off.

The hinge may be at the bottom, it is unclear on this unit, but there will be three screws on the hinge.

I just don’t see anything like what you are talking about. I think the easiest, quickest, cheapest thing to do is break the door handle off and super glue it to the door. Thanks for your help.
