You’d think this would be easy to find (or do). The dryer doesn’t always start - sometimes just buzzes - motor may be bad (switches are good), but want to open top to lubricate bushings/bearings jic. Don’t want to damage anything - just need to pull off front panel to remove screws on top front to lift up the top - how do I remove that top panel? It is a stackable, front load electric dryer - no lower front panel - just the upper one. the steel face below the top panel extends all the way to the bottom.
This is my exact question too.
I have a Frigidaire Front load stackable LEQ 6000 ES electric dryer.
I need to remove the top / upper front control panel assembly, to access the interior parts.
(I see sparking at the heating element when turning on…shorting out ??)
FWIW, I think there are friction clips holding the top down. Tried pushing putty knife into thin gap just above door.
If this is the trick, I must be doing it in the wrong location.
Can anyone help me figure this out ?
Thanks so much !
