You have to remove the top panel first. Remove the screws securing the top panel to the surface burners (3 screws on each burner). Be careful not to brake them. Otherwise you’ll have to replace the burner.
Using a flat blade screwdriver push in the locking tab on each side in front of the top panel and lift up the top panel.
Label and disconnect the wires from the old EOC. The EOC is secured to the control panel with a few screws.
