On my old Sears, I could open up the panel on the bottom front of the dryer and vacuum out the excess lint. This whirlpool does not have that access panel in the front. I can remove the lint screen and pop open the top, but all you see is the drum and no way to get underneath it. Do I need to take the entire front of the dryer off?
Looks like the front of the dryer has something akin to the shroud on a maytag dryer. I would not be scared to remove that glide mount and take the drum out. You should inspect those glides oil the wheels and idler anyway and you can get to everything especially the motor.
