Hi, just a bit flustered
So 3 months or so ago it would not spin or agitate. At the time I did not know about flashing LED’s but did find the lift the lid reset and that “fixed it.”
Maybe 2 weeks ago the teeth wore/broke of the timer and my 96 year old Mum decided she could just turn the pointer dial.
Last week it quit agitate/spin again. 7 flashes. Lid reset would not reset it. Still 7 flashes. Lid switch tests properly from plug to orange wire. So I ordered a timer and new knob because I knew it needed teeth/replacing anyway. But I was a bit leery of the part I received as it had black marks showing through the plastic as though it was smoked. Installed and no change. Still 7 flashes.
Ordered a motor and installed it. It did spin on my brief test, so I put some clothes in it. Well it did not agitate or spin. it also appeared that in some positions water would only fill if I “jiggled” the selector knob in or out. So I put the original timer back in. Still nothing.
I see no led flashing on this motor. The inline fuse white/red stripe checks fine with an ohm meter. Lid switch still checks good. My thoughts are I got a bad timer which blew my motor, but I have no real clue and think I should have just bought a new machine.
As a note the pump runs to drain if the lid is open or closed. No clue if this is correct or a symptom.
Motor 175D5106G010
Timer 175D5749P007
Appreciate any ideas.
Thanks,
Grey
