Main Symptom: frosting and freezer coil always freezing up.
What happens & when: my refrigerator temperature will be about 34 degrees my freezer temperature will be about 0° for days on end and when I load the refrigerator or freezer after returning home from the store freezer temperature will get up to about 16° my refrigerator temperature or go from 34° up to 45° and hold steady while the back panel in the freezer gets frost on it. Several times I’ve had to take food out of my freezer during the winter time lucky was cold put it on my back porch I had to fill up water bottles and let them freeze like ice cubes I cleared the coil off in the freezer put all the Frozen bottles in the freezer that puts them in the refrigerator to help it bring it to temperature quicker as soon as I got you temperature I stuck my freezer items in the freezer I put my refrigerator items in the refrigerator as I remove bottles. The problem seem to have been solved for about 2 months because I didn’t have to reload it fully load it I didn’t have no problem as soon as I go to the store I buy two boxes of hamburger I buy two bags of chicken I buy three packets of tilapia frozen vegetables and all that I put it in the freezer and the temperature slowly over hours and hours and hours just starts to climbing and then I start getting frost on the back panel. I will have water bottles gallon jugs V8 balls full of juice water and refrigerator everything be 34°, as soon as I take and put me eggs in there I put me some salads and not drawers and all that the temperature just climbs. I used to hear a gurgling noise when I opened the doors and I shut the doors like water or moisture was being pumped out but I don’t hear that happening no more. But I don’t understand is How could It Go weeks months and not do this if the heaters bad because it goes through cycles if I’m reading things right or but all of a sudden it just doesn’t working what else could it be what could I check to see if it’s the heater or maybe it’s a sensor or something but it’s not doing it all the time only when I pack that bad boy if it’s half empty.
Error Code (if any): only thing I see wrong on that display screen as it says my water filter needs changed.
Parts or tests already tried: I don’t know exactly what to check I could check resistors or check continuity on things or ohms if I knew the values. You know if your freezer has a touch screen panel on it you can turn yourself up and down for the refrigerator and freezer why don’t they have an automatic override where you can turn the heater on to defrost the coil? I’m not understanding if I got a bad heater or something else is the problem because. All through the winter time I took everything out of my freezer because I thought my grandkids left the refrigerator door open and the coil got ice on it. I removed the panel I took and got the ice off of the coil I took Frozen bottles of water I had on my back porch I loaded up the freezer but frozen water jugs to speed up the process of getting refrigerator and freezer at temperature.. I load the refrigerator in the freezer off of groceries Frozen items everything seems cool.. I go to the store I have to get me some more meats and some items to put in the refrigerator freezer.. between times I try to open it close the doors as fast as possible loading these items in and all the sudden my temperature will go from freezer 0-16 degrees. My refrigerator will go from 34° to 43 it will hold steady 16 degrees freezer. 43 ° refrigerator and when you look at the back panel it’s got frost all over it. But it only does this when you load the refrigerator and freezer add items get low and you have to reload. Once upon a time ago every time I open my my doors I would hear a gurgling sound like a draining noise. I know how to hear that happening. But it gets to be a pain every time I go to the store I buy items put in the freezer and then hear it it starts reaching temperatures almost in the high teens in my refrigerator is in the high 40s and I’m not sure what’s going to happen with the food because it’s not cheap. So how can I test to see if it’s the freezer heater or if it’s something else? I mean if I load up the refrigerator freezer and I’ll let it sit for 40 days and never open the door I would definitely is still going through a cycle right where is heating at element up to do whatever is doing for my understanding it happens but why is it not happening when you load it up but it seems to be great any other time until you open and close it a few times why is it?. I’m not going to pay somebody a hundreds of dollars to do some little work on a refrigerator it’s like people want to rip people off. So if I check the resistance the continuity on the heater and it’s working what else could it be
