Hot wire relay?

While looking for a breaker or reset switch I took the back off of the range and found a small box 1 1/2" long X 1"X 1". I took the cover off of the box and while I was holding it it fell apart and I can’t get it back together.
I have not been able to find out what the box even does for sure. I will try to explain the wireing.

There are two red wires, each one coming from a terminal from the two rear burner controls. These two wires connect at a terminal on the box. The other terminal on the box has two wires coming out. One is a red wire that runs to the over and the other is a brown wire that runs to the oven light indicator.

We tried using the over without the box and it will heat to 250 but when turned higher the light indicator goes out. All of the burners are working properly.

My questions are: What is the function of the box? Can the oven be wired direct? Is there a substitute for the box? Any help will be appreciated.

?

Can you post a picture of this part?

Do you have the wiring diagram?

Gene.

Thank you for your early reply:
I do not have a wire diagram but I have taken pictures of the back of the range, the part inquestion (remember it has fallen apart), and a hand made diagram but I don’t know how to attach it to this response. Instead, I attached the pictures to the “reply” to the email that I received. I hope that works

Please forgive me. I gave you some wrong information in my first contact. I said that the oven would heat to 250 and then shut off. I was wrong. The oven light comes on but the oven does not heat. Sorry for the confusion.

I hope this works for sending the downloads.
