Help with ge control board

GE 6 yr old side by side refrig started to vary temps in both freezer and refrig. Based on model # PSC25NSTA SS, looked on line for recommended replacement control board. Came up with wr55x10942. Many parts suppliers carry. But board looks different in the J14 and J15 area (upper right quadrant). My old board has 2 prongs at J14, and a long harness wire with 2 prong plug for J14. At J15, the 4 contact points are soldered closed. On almost all new replacement boards, J14 area now soldered closed, and J15 has a 4 pin post which I have no plug for. Does my old harness wire 2pin plug go onto 2 of this newer 4pin post. If different board is required, can’t seem to find one recommended for my model # that is configured right. Any thoughts?

The WR55X10942 board is a newly designed board that is a universal replacement for most of the older boards. Generally, all the sockets are placed where all the plugs will reach.
You can call this parts site to verify.

Thanks for your response Rich. However, I still have the same dilemma: one unmatched plug and socket for J14/J15 area on board. Replacement board has 4 pin socket at J15 location, which I have no plug for; but I have harness wire with 2 pin plug which used to plug in at J14, but now has no place to go. Not even sure what it used to control. I could attach this harness wire plug in 2 of the 4 pin sockets at J15, but which ones and who knows what will happen.

I would check for the proper board on this site. If you order it here and it is the wrong one you can send it back.
Also, do a google search for suppliers and verify they all specify the same board.

I have the same issue. I checked several sites, this is the replacement board. Please Rich, don’t answer unless you can say where the 2 wires from J15 belong. Your previous answers were not helpful :frowning:

Check your schematic behind the encoder, probably a test jack.
