When water is called for, the main inlet valve at the back of the appliance will receive voltage at the same time as the solenoid for what is calling for water (water dispenser for example). The water will travel through the main inlet valve to the filter, then from the filter to the tri-inlet valve in the door. Once the water reaches the tri-inlet valve, it will flow through the specific solenoid being activated. If the inlet tube of the tri-inlet valve is disconnected from the flow meter side of the valve, the door switches can be taped into an activated state. The tube can then be aimed into a cup and the water dispenser activated to see if water reaches the tri-inlet valve. Does water come through to this point? If not, are you able to hear the valves hum?
