Hello folks, I have a Kenmore Range at home that has a bad bake element. I believe the one on the bottom is called the bake element, correct?
In any case, I apologize for not having my model number available. I am at work and was not expecting to be able to leave today to go and grab a part. I have found a picture below that looks very similar to mine.
This is merely a listing for someone’s oven for sale (I guess) but mine looks almost just like it. My door is not all black though. I was hoping that most of these ovens were pretty standard in their major parts. The element is W shaped. I don’t think the element is any good because it is not getting hot. The top one is heating fine, but the bottom won’t do anything. There are no physical breaks in it, but I know it could still be bad. I have not taken it out and checked resistance. I will do that today. Is there a possibility that it has a fuse or something that could have failed or is it most likely the element?
Any help on identifying the range above and maybe throwing some part numbers out for that element would be appreciated. I will get the model up as soon as I get home to look at it.
