Help gaining access to heating element

[COLOR=red][FONT=Arial Black][SIZE=4][COLOR=#008000]I need to replace the large heating element in my GE glass cooktop. I found the part but can’t seem to figure out how to lift the glass top to gain access to the element. Can anyone help me with this?? Thanks[/COLOR][/SIZE][/FONT][/COLOR]

The entire cook top will need to be lifted up out of the countertop enough to get to the screws along the top just under the glass. Turn the power off to the cook top, then remove the screws. The top will lift off and you will have access to the elements. Pay particular attention to how they mount and where each wire connects. Then put it back together.
