Hi, the heating element at the bottom of the stove started sparking, glowing then flaming up in one spot. i shut down power, when cool element looks like rough and bubbly like it was welded. is this something I could replace and do you have a part # ???. Thanks for any help .![]()
Do not use the oven till the element is replaced as you could blow the control board. With a little luck the board is still OK
Here are your parts

Yes you should be able to replace it your self.
Unplug the unit.
Remove the racks from the oven.
There is usually 1 or 2 screws holding the element bracket to the back of the oven.
Remove it/them.
Gently pull the element forward till the connectors/wires for the element are in the oven.
Remove the wires from the element.
It is a good idea to clip something (clothespin etc.) onto the wires so they do not disappear behind the back of the stove,
Also a good idea to check the old element against the new one just to be sure the element legs that go into the back of the stove are not longer than the original.
Connect the wires to the new element and gently push it back in.
Re-install the screws and you should be away to the races.
