Hi, I have a heartland 5210 Natural Gas electric/gas stove. The one large burner ignitor keeps sparking even though all the knobs are turned off. I went through all the troubleshooting suggestions in the manual with no luck. I pulled everything apart, cleaned it and put it back but no luck. I finally unplugged the ignitor wire from the distrbutiion board. I now keep a lighter handy when I need to light that burner; all the other burners and ignitors work fine. I have come to conclusdion I need to replace a part…but what part? Do I need to replace the distribution panel, the wiring harness or the burner itself? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
KUnderhill, thank you for your question. Unfortunately, there is very little information available for this model. However, if this unit uses switches at the knob, the switch would be the most likely cause of failure. If this unit uses electronic controls for the knob and the spark distribution, it would be likely that the spark distribution control would be the cause of failure.
