Haier HVCE24CBH Fridge is not cooling

Hi everyone,

My Haier fridge recently stopped cooling properly, and I’m hoping to get some advice on what to check next. The display only shows the temperature, so there are no error codes to go by.

The Symptoms:

  • The fridge is not cooling on its own.

  • The weird part: If I unplug the fridge and plug it back in a couple of times, I can usually “jump start” the compressor.

  • Once running, it cools perfectly down to the set temperature and then shuts off like normal.

  • However, as the temperature inside rises again, the compressor never kicks back on to maintain it. It’s essentially a one-time cycle per hard reset.

What I’ve Already Tried & Tested:

  • Replaced: The start relay.

  • Cleaned: Condenser coils and condenser fan.

  • Verified: Condenser fan is spinning fine.

  • Verified: Compressor never gets extremely hot, and there are no clicking noises coming from the compressor area.

  • Verified: There is no frost built up on the cooling plate.

Based on the symptoms, this issue will be caused by a faulty control board.
