Grease under machine squeals high pitch when spinning

This Maytag washing machine is from the 60’s it’s color is avocado! Still washes great but the high pitch squeal is not only annoying but I fear it will quit spinning. It throws grease on floor under washer. As far as I know this poor machine has never received any maintenance. We have had it over ten years after my son used it ten years after he bought at a garage sale. :slight_smile: Any advice on what to do besides call the Maytag repair man?

It’s probably time for the new washer because to replace the transmission kit you probably will spend good $700-800:( Here the part anyway:
