Glass Surface Triple Element replacement

I have a Maytag Gemini range, Model #MER6875BAS purchased in July of 2007. I’ve seen other posts on Gemini’s with links to Service Manual PDFs but never this exact model.:frowning:

The front right burner is a triple element burner. The center (smallest) element has quit operating. The middle ring and outer ring elements work fine.

I was hoping that they were 3 separate elements that could be replaced individually but from what I’ve seen here I now expect that it is a single assembly containing all three elements.:frowning:

I would like specific instructions for removing the top, and replacing the triple element assembly.

What testing can I do to confirm it is the burner and not the switch at fault.:confused:

The problem can be a bad heating element as well as the switch for this burner. Both parts have to be checked for continuity.
