Since you already replaced the W10873803 start device and the refrigerator still won’t cool—and now you’re hearing clicking—the next thing I’d check is the compressor itself. W10873803 is the correct start device listed for GARF30FDGB04. Home Depot
The clicking is important. If it’s coming from the compressor area and you hear a click → compressor hums or tries to start → click again, the compressor is likely going out on its overload because it cannot get started. With a new start device installed, that puts the compressor high on the suspect list. GE Appliances Repair
If you have a multimeter, unplug the refrigerator, remove the start device again, and you’ll see the 3 compressor pins. Check resistance between all three pairs of pins. You should get resistance on all three combinations—none should read OL/open. Then check each individual compressor pin to the bare metal compressor shell. Every pin should read OL/no continuity to the shell. Any continuity to the shell means the compressor is grounded and bad.
Also make sure the condenser fan beside the compressor is running when the refrigerator is trying to cool. A failed condenser fan can cause the compressor to overheat and cycle on its overload. Sears Parts Direct
If the compressor windings pass those resistance/ground tests but it continues to hum and click off with the new W10873803, I would strongly suspect a mechanically locked compressor. The current replacement compressor listed for this model is W11628587, replacing W11567426. Compressor replacement is sealed-system work and normally requires a refrigeration technician. If you give me the three resistance readings between the compressor pins, I can help you interpret them.
