My Gibson GDE546RHS0 dryer was making a clunking noise and when I opened the door I saw that the internal light was hanging down and banging around.
I reached in to reseat the light and accidently shorted the leads against the chassis. I did not realize the leads were not insulated. Some sparks flew and my circuit breaker tripped. I unplugged the dryer and went and reset the breaker.
I plugged the dryer back in and hit start and it went right back to work. It finished a cycle and I thought all things were good.
The following day I went to put in another load and hit start and the dryer would not turn on. No manner of knob turning or door reseating would make a difference.
