gfe26jemwfds GE Fridge French door with freezer on bottom as separate drawer
Water dispenser started flowing lower than normal. New filter alert had been on for a few days. Replaced filter (OEM filter) and water flow pressure continued to be low to the point of dispensing around 4 oz of water and stopped. Humming sound as normal at dispenser when paddle is activated.
Getting water to ice maker but ice cubes are smaller and in general fridge is making less ice cubes. Call to bring water to ice maker happens often but really not very much ice at all. I check resistance at valve at it says 300-500 Ohms. Water dispenser line in door does not appear to be frozen. Use blow dryer in vents to freezer at door to ensure water supply line to door dispenser is not frozen (no dice). Check supply line from house to back of fridge and I’m getting water to kitchen. Knee jerk reaction is ordering valve at dispenser (could not find valve in back of fridge on diagrams like previous fridge and HEY what else could it be). Replace valve in door at dispenser -no dice.
Check filter status button -reading is 96 (which I thought meant 96% used up). Buy new filters thinking perhaps circuit board at filter is not reading RFID & put new filter in -no dice. Reading now is 100. Pull panel off back and find valve in back of fridge (that I coulda sworn was not in the diagram). Pull off supply hose to water filter and run dispenser…no water comes out. Check Ohm reading and get ~350 ohms.
Display for dispenser does not appear to have issue (e.g. circuit board at dispenser might be bad? But doesn’t seem to be the case)
Circuit board at water filter appears to be reading water filter (based on 96 and 100 readings above)
Tracing line from back of fridge valve to upper portion of dispenser fridge door does not appear to go into freezer but only a short portion of upper part of fridge
Lost as to what to do next but considering putting weed wacker line from back of fridge valve to dispenser to confirm no blockage or frozen line.
