Our water softener displays L11 and F40 when you first power it up, then clears the error codes and flashes the time and beeps. It does not cycle. I cannot find any information about these error codes.

If the unit does not clear the code after unplugging for 2 minutes and plugging back in. The drive motor is most likely bad and needs to be replaced.
