Ge washer wont wash

Brand:GE
Model Number: GUD27GSSMWW
Main Symptom: washer wont finish cycle

What happens & when: When starting normal washing cycle machine , the machine will fill the just turn off. all lights turn off. There is not a digital display on this machine , so it doesnt display error codes. Technician held start button in for a few seconds and told me it should reset it. Now telling me it needs mother board.? If dial is turned to drain and spin it will work.

I’d recommend testing the machine in the service mode, I’ve attached the service manual below.

The washer’s field service mode starts on page 63.

This is what I came up with.

Test1

press start and wash and spin flashing

press start and on, wash ,rinse flashing

press start and on, spin, lid lock flashing

press start and spin and lock flashing

press start and on, wash, spin flashing

press start and on, wash, lid lock flashing

press start and rinse , lid lock flashing

press start and lid lock flashing

press start and wash, rinse, lid lock flashing

test 2

lid lock flashing

Test 3

1st press of start Lid lock

2nd Rinse and spin flashing

3rd All off

4th spin flashing

Test 4

1st press of start lid locked

2nd rinse and spin flashing

3rd all off

4th all off

Test 5

1st press of start lid locked

2nd rinse ,spin flashing, lid lock on solid

3rd all off

4all off

Test 6

1st press of start Lid locked

2nd lid locked

3rd all off

4th all off

Test 7

1st press of start lid locked

2nd lid locked

3rd all off

4th all off

Test 8,9,10,11, 12 all seemed to work normally

Test 13 No spin

Test 14 No Agitation

Did # 15 with no change in performance

So those codes look to be:

9 Lid Switch Redundancy
28 Options Knobs Feedback Invalid
19 UI State Timeout
3 Locked Rotor Monitor
26 Out of Balance (OOB) Ended Final Spin
25 Pressure Sensor Dropout
5 Mode Shifter
1 Lock Monitor
13 Redundant Lid Unlocked

Going through them there’s a lot of variance in what they mean. The main control may be at fault, but we’d be unable to confirm that without testing each component referenced by the given codes.
