The washing machine leaks from the center post/shaft inside on the bottom of the tub. There is a slow steady stream of water running down. It looks like it should be a leaky gasket or seal but I am having difficulty determining what part to order.
Given the cost of a complete seal kit, and the possibility that the water has done damage to your transmission I would recommend you replace the machine.

Go to the home page and put your model number in the blank.
after you select your washer the next page will have pictures on the left
Go to the 5th one down
Click on that and look for Part 311
They call it the assem hub &
That what you will need to fix it.
I’m replacing mine for the 4th time.
Also if its getting noisy there is a bearing Down lower that is probably getting rusty from getting wet. I think thats part 316 on the 4th page Main Assem. B
Thanks for your reply. How difficult is it to make the repair?

You pretty much have to take the Whole washer apart.
And there is a Nut that can be tough to get out with out the tool. But if you are creative you can get it off. Or you can just buy the tool.
It is shown on the Phish and points to the nut it takes off.
If you are mechanically Challenged, I wouldn’t touch it. But if you are like me and Like tearing things apart to see how they work. Go for it.
The case is off. Can you tell me how you get the washer apart? Can you do it without unhooking the springs? Can you get to it by taking the tub off of the base? If so once you remove the three screws on the bottom of the tub, how do you get it off?
thanks,
Jenny
Can anyone give me advice on how to remove part 310?
thanks
Jenny
Yes you have to pull the springs
The entire washer is apart but i have been unable to remove the part called the drive bell seal? Do you have any advice? From the diagram it looks like the special tool is required for the piece below?
Yes you have to pull the springs
