replaced tub seal and it still leaks it looks like the bearing has come loose because it’s not flush up against the bottom of the tub so it’s leaking in between the bearing and the tub When I replaced the seal I noticed a bunch of looked like melted plastic under the seal so I cleaned that out and replaced the seal BUT it still leaks so now I’m going to replace the outer tub and hopefully that will fix it so my question is should that bearing be flush up against the bottom of the tub it’s dropped down about a 1/4” which I think has let the bearing spin inside the tub which caused the build up of plastic under the seal and between the bearing and tub

Hello, to answer your question , yes, the bearing should be flush up against the bottom of the tub.

K. Replace tub put 2 screws in the bearing on new tub to make sure it doesn’t drop down again. Good news no leak so far. Next question the inside tub has water in the upper plastic part I can turn it and hear the water going thru baffles inside I have the stainless inner tub with a plastic cowl on top. Is it suppose to have that water in it for the life of me I can’t figure out how it would have ever got in there unless it was already inside because water level will never get that high. Next question I ran it thru a empty cycle and when goes in a wash cycle it really bang the motor tabs that are hanging down its hitting hard is there something I can do to make it a little more rigid or do I need to replace the straps going from tub to frame or is that just because it wasn’t running any clothes in it.
